Jamshedpur, Feb. 22 : Inspector general (Ranchi zone) Naveen Kumar Singh on Thursday assured that no one will be spared, even police officials if found guilty in the Sahara City minor rape case registered with the Mango police station.
He said that the investigation into the sensational case is going on and it will reach its logical conclusion.
The inspector general had come to the steel city on Wednesday and had reviewed the general crime situation in the steel city, but devoted most of his time on the progress in the investigation of this case. The deputy inspector general, Kolhan, Saket Kumar Singh was also present while the IG was speaking to the media.The IG said was probing to the case.
The 17-year-old girl who worked as a maid in the house of a businessman at Sahara City was raped by three persons. As the matter came to the notice of the house owner, Nanak Chandra Seth, he made the victim’s mother, who is a resident of Kawali in Potka block to lodged an FIR against three with the Mango police station on January 19.
The police had on January 19 registered a case of rape and POCSO Act against three persons with the Mango thana for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl who works as a maid at the house of Nanak Chandra Seth, a businessman at Sahara City in Mango during the past two years. The accused Indrapal Singh Saini, Shiv Kumar Mahto and Srikant alias Santosh used to rape the minor by blackmailing her on the basis of a clipping of an obscene act with her.
