Jamshedpur, Feb 21: The court of additional district and sessions judge (IV) at Jamshedpur, Rajendra Kumar Sinha, Monday sentenced one Kanhu Tudu to life imprisonment for killing his alleged paramour, Kishori Tudu alias Seema. Tudu was convicted on 19th February last.
The incident dates back to the night of 7th September 2018 when Kanhu used to frequent the house of the deceased to meet her in Zone No-5 under Birasanagar PS area. A quarrel broke out between the two to such an extent that the man reportedly strangulated the woman and later tried to give it the colour of suicide before decamping from the crime scene. Police had recovered the body of the deceased from her rented accommodation. They arrested the accused from Birsanagar and interrogated him. The accused reportedly confessed his guilt and spilled the beans.
