Jamshedpur, Feb 21: Exposing serious loopholes in security arrangements, vehicle lifters stole three motorcycles from MGM Hospital premises on Monday.
According to police, the thieves stole a motorcycle belonging to one Anand Mukhi, who has contested the state Assembly elections from Jamshedpur East constituency as a candidate of Ambedkarite Party of India. He had gone to see his sister-in-law Murtika Mukhi in the female ward. When he came out, he found his bike missing. Soon he became sure it had been stolen.
The thieves also stole the bike of Mahesh Kesri, a resident of Sarjamda under Parsudih PS, when the latter was with his wife in the hospital. In a similar fashion, the bike of a third person was reported to the security staff of the hospital. Police have begun investigation into the thefts. They have obtained CCTV footage of the incidents to get clues about the thieves, sources said.
