Jamshedpur Lawyers Defence raises key issues in meeting at Old Court premises

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Lawyers Defence held an important meeting at the old court premises on Saturday, focusing on key issues faced by the legal community. The program, conducted in the new hall, was organized by Lawyers Defence President Paramjeet Kumar Srivastava. Prominent attendees included Jamshedpur District Bar Association President Rathindra Nath Das and Executive Member Anant Gope. During the meeting, five significant demands were raised by the advocates, which included the need for proper toilet facilities at the old court premises, cleaning and repairing the dilapidated Bar Association building, and establishing a counter to sell affidavit papers and related documents in both the old and new courts, with the appointment of a person to manage the counter. Advocates also requested a more organized arrangement for the notary public and raised concerns about the irregularities at the District Sub Registrar Office, which were affecting their work. Additionally, the construction of a road divider by Jusco was causing difficulties for advocates in commuting to the court.

Bar Association President Rathindra Nath Das assured the attendees that efforts would be made to resolve these issues by meeting with the relevant officials. The meeting concluded with the announcement of the Lawyers Defence’s annual forest feast, scheduled for January 19, 2025. As a mark of appreciation, all the advocates present honored President Paramjeet Kumar Srivastava by presenting him with a bouquet of flowers. The meeting was attended by over 50 advocates, including Akshay Kumar Jha, Vinod Kumar Mishra, Amit Kumar, Naveen Prakash, Ravindra Kumar, Neeraj Kumar, Vidyut Nadi, Sanjay Kumar, Vivek Prasad, Deepak Kumar, Dilip Singh, Rajkumar Das, Akhilesh Pratap Singh, Sanjeev Kumar Jha, Sunil Kumar Mohanty, Nirupama Das, Afsar Javed, Manu Prasad, Ashok Kumar, Atma Vikas, Anil Kumar Tiwari, Subhash Singh, and Jayant Mishra.
