Seraikela, May 3: Rajnagar police here on Tuesday claimed to have solved the mystery behind the murder of Nisha Sardar, killed in Rutdih village on 1st May last, by arresting her elder brother Hango Sardar.
According to the officer in-charge Chandan Kumar, Hango Sardar had stabbed Nisha in a fit of rage after she refused to give him money for drinking. Hango wanted to drink Hadiya (rice beer) and hence asked Nisha to give him some money. He assaulted his sister with a kitchen knife. Critically injured in the incident, Nisha fell on the scene and died. Hango fled the scene and was later arrested from Rajnagar. Police have recovered the death weapon.
