Jamshedpur Kanwariya dies of electrocution on Katoria-Deoghar route

Jamshedpur, July 25: A Kanwariya died due to an electric shock on the Katoria-Deoghar Kanwariya Path under the jurisdiction of Katoria police station in Bihar. The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Kumar Ajiwal, a 55-year-old resident of Adityapur, Jamshedpur, and son of the late Ram Rohitas Ajiwal.

According to reports, Ramesh Kumar Ajiwal was traveling with a group and had stopped at a tea and snacks stall in Kolhua village for a break on Thursday morning around 9:30 am. While he was heading to the bathroom, he accidentally came in contact with an electric wire from a stand fan, resulting in his electrocution.

He was immediately taken to Katoria Referral Hospital in Bihar in an unconscious state, where Dr. S.D. Mandal, the in-charge medical officer, declared him dead upon examination. The incident has caused deep mourning among fellow Kanwarias, and the deceased’s family is in severe distress following the news. The police have reached the scene, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
