Jamshedpur, May 26: Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has started cleaning all big drains of the city ahead of monsoon.
A cleaning drive started in Kusum Nagar, Marine Drive and Birsanagar on Thursday. JNAC teams are cleaning all major drains across the city. Tata Steel UISL has also started cleaning all major drains. The drains are being cleaned as per a schedule, sources said.
JNAC launches cleanliness drive
Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has launched a cleanliness drive in the city in view of the ongoing Panchayat elections. Several workers have been pressed into service at various places including Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti, Parsudih. In view of the hot and humid weather, the Special Officer of JNAC distributed biscuits and ORS packets among the workers on Thursday. He directed the supervisor to take care of the workers.
