Jamshedpur, May 26: Polling duty staff left for their respective destinations on the eve of the fourth and last phase of the Panchayat polls on Thursday. They were seen off at Jamshedpur Cooperative College, sources said.
Sources said show-cause notices were sent to 23 polling duty staff who remained absent at the dispatch centre today.
Tomorrow, 2,72,079 voters would decide the fate of Panchayat election candidates by casting votes at 711 polling booths of Golmuri-cum-Jugsalai block. There are three transgender voters and 134957 women voters, sources said.
