Jamshedpur, August 12: The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) is preparing for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2023-24, tentatively scheduled for August 24th or 25th in Jamshedpur. The Committee of Management (COM) is set to finalize the date, venue, and agenda in their meeting on Tuesday.

This year’s AGM follows a contentious meeting in Garhwa last year, which resulted in the formation of a special committee to address disputes over 28 new memberships. The upcoming AGM is expected to be equally tumultuous, with the membership issue remaining a central point of contention.

The special committee has unanimously approved the 28 new memberships. However, questions persist regarding the timing of membership fee submissions and discrepancies in the selection process. Complicating matters further is the missing video footage from the May 1, 2022 AGM where the initial membership proposal was passed.

Critics question why the COM didn’t present all relevant documents at the 2023 Garhwa AGM if they were indeed correct. This ongoing controversy highlights the internal challenges facing JSCA and raises questions about transparency and procedural integrity within the organization.
