Jamshedpur, June 30: Various industrialists of Adityapur Industrial Area stopped the ongoing pipeline laying work in Adityapur to protest against the poor condition of roads in the area. They alleged that the various agencies entrusted with the job of laying pipelines for LPG and water supply and repair of sewage lines often dug the roads here and there and left them unrepaired, thus causing great inconvenience to the people.

Rupesh Katariyar, state vice president of Laghu Udyog Bharati said the agencies often disregarded all municipal norms and safety standards. “The roads are dug up here and there in a reckless manner. This is not only inviting road accidents but also causing considerable damage to local industries. We had gone on agitation to oppose this in a peaceful manner earlier, but despite this the government and JIADA administration has not taken our plea seriously,” he said.
