Jamshedpur, June 30: The relatives and well-wishers of Raj Mahato, who reportedly committed suicide at MGM Hospital yesterday, created ruckus in the government hospital on Thursday accusing the on-duty doctors and staff of medical negligence.
The protestors alleged that Raj Mahato committed suicide in depression as his son was under treatment for fractured leg in the orthopaedic ward of the hospital for the last three weeks. They said Raj’s son was not treated well, which caused much mental strife in the mind of the deceased, leading him to take the extreme step.

The hospital management stepped up security cover around the various wards during the agitation as the agitators sat on the main road in front of the entry gate and refused to buzz.

Sakchi police reached the scene and tried to pacify the protestors. They sought written complaint from the agitators and assured to take action against the guilty.

The protestors quit agitation thereafter.
