Jamshedpur: Hill Top School wins Rotary Inter-School debate competition

Jamshedpur, August 10:  Rotary Club Jamshedpur East organized an inter-school debate competition on the topic, ‘I am a teenager, I have changed, am I different?’ The event was held at the Golmuri Club and saw the participation of nine schools from the eastern part of the city.

Hill Top School emerged winner while Little Flower School secured the runner-up berth. The Best Speakers for and against the motion were Adarsh Kumar of SDSM School and Hill Top School’s Sunetra Laru. The runners-up speakers included Saumya Sinha from Hill Top School and Taruna Sudarshan from Little Flower School.

The prizes and refreshments were sponsored by Rtn Kunal Kar. Club President, Prema Gogna and Director Sushma Pandey, along with Rotarians Manish Jain, Tamali and Anita Paul organized the debate contest.

President Prema Gogna observed, “Inter-school debate competitions provide an excellent platform for students to showcase their debating skills and enhance their knowledge on various subjects.”

Director Sushma Pandey highlighted that such competitions encouraged students to engage in healthy discussions and develop critical thinking abilities. The winning participants in the inter-school debating competition were felicitated.
