CISCE honours her visionary MFDCC Model impacting thousands of students and educators nationwide
Jamshedpur, November 21: Gulmohur High School Principal Priti Sinha has been awarded the Derozio Award 2025, the highest honour presented by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). She received the award under the Heads of Schools category, placing her among the top school leaders selected across India this year for exceptional service to education.
The award was conferred during the 68th Annual ASISC Conference of School Principals held at AKM Resort, Chandigarh. The event witnessed the presence of more than 2,500 principals, educationists, and dignitaries from across the country. The ceremony was presided over by Justice Vikramjit Sen, former Supreme Court judge and former Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court.

Instituted by CISCE, the Derozio Awards honour educators who demonstrate visionary leadership, institutional excellence, and a deep commitment to nation-building through education. Each award includes a 24-gram gold medal, a silver-engraved citation plaque, a scroll of honour, and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh.

Ms. Sinha was selected for her pioneering MFDCC Model, a comprehensive post-pandemic educational reform framework built on five core pillars:
• Mental & Emotional Wellness
• Future-Ready Teachers
• Digital Transformation
• Career-Aligned Skill-Based Learning
• Civic & Environmental Responsibility
Through this model, Ms. Sinha has led impactful academic and community-focused initiatives that have benefitted over 3,000 students and 1,200 educators across 35+ schools. The MFDCC framework is being recognised as a replicable national model for holistic, future-ready schooling.

Alongside Priti Sinha, three other educators received the prestigious award:

• Seena Joseph, Principal, Auxilium Nava Jyoti School, Kerala
• Kusum Uniyal, TGT Science, Jyoti Vidyalaya, Joshimath, Uttarakhand
The two-day ASISC School Heads’ Conference, held on November 20–21, brought together more than 2,000 school heads from CISCE-affiliated schools to discuss emerging trends in education. The theme of the conference, “Building Stronger Schools Together,” focused on collaborative leadership, innovation, and preparing schools for the future.
Ms. Sinha’s recognition marks a proud moment for Jamshedpur and reinforces Gulmohur High School’s reputation for educational excellence.
