Jamshedpur, November 21: Jamshedpur FC is proud to announce that forward Heeranganba Seram has been named in the 23-member India U17 squad for the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 Qualifiers, set to begin on November 22 at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad.
The 16-year-old striker, who represents JFC’s U18 side, has been part of the ongoing national camp for the last four months. Heeranganba first joined the India U17 setup in July after impressing during the AIFF selection trials in Goa, and his consistent performances at camp have now earned him a coveted place in the final squad.
A product of Jamshedpur FC’s youth development pathway, he has been with the club for three years and was the top scorer for JFC in the AIFF U17 Elite League earlier this year, netting 13 goals in 13 matches as the team finished runners-up.
India, coached by Bibiano Fernandes, will face Palestine (November 22), Chinese Taipei (November 26), Lebanon (November 28) and the Islamic Republic of Iran (November 30) in Group G of the AFC U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers. All matches will kick off at 19:30 IST and will be streamed live on plus.fifa.com.
