Jamshedpur girl drowns into Kharkai river

Jamshedpur, Sep 26: As the city was busy celebrating International Daughter’ s Day, two girls drowned on Sunday while taking bath in Kharkai river on the banks of Marine Drive in Ramjanmanagar under Kadma police station area. 

While a girl named Barkha Sah (10) was rescued. Priyanka Sah (10) drowned in deep water. Local divers tried to find the body in the river for about two hours but Priyanka’s body could not be found. On information, her family members also reached the ghat. Police also rushed the spot.

Priyanka’s father Rajesh Sah told that his daughter had gone to the house with Barkha at 12 o’clock to take a bath in the river without saying anything to anyone. His elder daughter Nandini was also taking a bath a short distance away from the spot. While Priyanka and Barkha were taking a bath together. During this, both started drowning. Barkha was saved by the people.
