Jamshedpur girl among two dead as car rams into truck on Tata-Ranchi NH 33

Jamshedpur, Feb 3: A tragic road accident on Monday morning near Rargaon in Tamar police station area claimed lives of two people, while another was seriously injured. The incident occurred on the Ranchi-Tata National Highway when a Wagon-R car collided with a stationary trailer.

The deceased have been identified as Ritu Raj Kumar (25) and Janhavi Kumari (20), both residents of Golmuri, Jamshedpur. Ritu Raj’s sister, Rohini Singh, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the three had travelled from Jamshedpur to Ranchi to attend a wedding and were returning home in the early morning when the accident took place near Rargaon. Their car crashed into the rear of a parked trailer with such impact that it was completely mangled, trapping all three occupants inside.

Local villagers promptly informed the Tamar police, who arrived at the scene and, with the help of bystanders, extricated the victims from the car. Ritu Raj and Janhavi died on the spot, while Rohini Singh was critically injured. Tamar police station in-charge Roshan Jha arranged for an ambulance to transport Rohini to a local hospital, where she was given first aid before being referred to RIMS, Ranchi, due to her severe condition.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
