Jamshedpur, Apr 4: Jailed gangster Akhilesh Singh has applied in the court of additional district and session judge Jamshedpur court that hearing in his cases should be held in the presence of additional public prosecutor and public prosecutor.
It is being told that in his case in the court, prosecution side was represented by special public prosecutor Jai Prakash whose tenure ended on March 31 2021 and in such a scenario the hearing should be held in the presence of public prosecutor or additional public prosecutor.Â
Incidentally, Akhilesh Singh currently lodged in Dumka jail and the deputy commissioner East Singhbhum cum district magistrate Suraj Kumar has recommended for service extension of the special public prosecutor Jai Prakash to the additional chief secretary home department. Even the SSP East Singhbhum M Tamilvanan had recommended for the special public prosecutor as he had been looking into the case since beginning with dexterity.Â
