Jamshedpur: Five arrested with illicit liquor

Jamshedpur, Jan 3: A team of Excise officials arrested five persons with illicit liquor in a series of raid conducted in Karandih and Jugsalai. The team first arrested four persons allegedly carrying illicit liquor in a vehicle near Karandih Chowk. Thereafter, the officials seized a vehicle near Jugsalai Railway Underpass and seized illicit liquor. In another incident, one person was arrested with hooch from Bagbera Sipitola. Excise officials said the raids were conducted following the directive of Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav. They said all citizens should be alert and inform Excise department about people engaged in the manufacturing, storage and sale of illicit liquor so that action may be taken against such people.
