Jamshedpur firing case: 7 nabbed, three pistols, five live cartridges recovered

Jamshedpur, July 10: A total of seven persons  were arrested and arms and cartridges recovered as police solved Mango Old bridge firing incident held allegedly for extortion from fish traders.

During the raid by police a total of seven people were arrested. Three pistols, five live cartridges have been recovered from them.

The SSP of East Singhbhum Prabhat Kumar told that the gang members of Kundan Singh and Mashuk Manish have executed this incident for extortion. Both the gangs wanted the recovery of extortion to be done by the people with whom this firing incident took place.

In this, Kundan Singh alias Bhondu was absconding in a murder case, who was arrested by the police. Aman Thakur alias Dengu, resident of Mango Ulidih Shanti Niwas of Kundan Singh gang, Jitendra Kumar Sahu alias Dhoom, resident of Ulidih Tank Road, Akash Namta alias Artist, resident of Ulidih Tank Road, Pankaj Kumar Singh, resident of Sakchi, Rakesh Singh Sardar, resident of Ulidih and Ankesh Kumar alias Babu, resident of Mango Daiguttu, of Mashuk Manish gang have been arrested.

Ankesh Kumar alias Babu was also leader of Ulidih Mandal of BJP Yuva Morcha.

Two country-made pistols, one country-made pistol, one 8 mm live cartridge, two 7.64 mm live cartridges, two 9 mm live cartridges, five empty cartridges, motorcycle, scooty and mobile have been seized from them. Several cases are already registered against Kundan Singh, Akash Namta, Aman Thakur, Jitendra Sahu alias Dhoom and Pankaj Kumar Singh.
