Jamshedpur, March 10: It was the fervor of Holi times days ahead of the Festival of Colours as BJP celebrated the huge margins of victory in the Assembly hustings of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa. Varied colours of Gulal underlined the boisterous mood of BJP leaders and cadre members who distributed sweets and fruits among people. The contagious celebratory mood prevailed in the districts of East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum and Saraikela-Kharsawan as BJP claimed emphatic victory in the four states. The joyous scenes reverberated with victory slogans and drum beats heralding the successful emergence of BJP candidates at the poll grounds of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa.
It was festive times all over the three districts of Kolhan Region. Even perennial pessimists had to yield space to the sways of BJP flavor that gripped even casual supporters who got sucked into the sea of elated BJP rank and file. The victories in the four state Assembly elections made the Saffron brigade an invincible team. Adversaries failed miserably in their attempts to break the BJP citadel. Taking pot shots at the BJP candidates were parts of failed ploys to lure voters away.
The worst casualty in the tryst with Assembly elections was the grand old Congress party that has, in recent times, run up against the wall of despondency. Under present conditions, Congress leaders will understand the fallacy of ‘better luck next time.’ In the meanwhile, the nation and may be the world, apart from the four states, will watch the victorious strides of BJP as it marches on with strong vigor towards a hall mark trend of success the party has itself set.
