Jamshedpur: Father-Son Duo Jailed Under POCSO Act

Jamshedpur, June 14: Sitaramdera police have arrested and incarcerated Uday Ghosh and his father, Amulya Ghosh, following their failure to appear in court despite being granted bail in a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The arrest was made in compliance with a non-bailable warrant issued by the court. Uday Ghosh had been accused of kidnapping and raping a minor in 2019, with his father also implicated in the case. While both were initially granted bail, their absence during court hearings led to the issuance of summons, culminating in a non-bailable warrant being issued by the court.
