Jamshedpur, Dec 1: The All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council has raised serious concerns about the ongoing crisis in Bangladesh, focusing on the increasing violence and attacks against Hindu minorities. In a meeting held at Agrico, the council’s chief, Vinay Kumar Yadav, stated, “India has consistently expressed its concern over the increasing incidents of violence and attacks on Hindus. These cannot be dismissed as media exaggerations. The interim government of Bangladesh must take immediate action to protect all minorities.”
Yadav called on the Bangladesh government to take responsibility for ensuring the safety of its citizens, particularly vulnerable minorities. “The violence, provocative rhetoric, and threats against Hindus are deeply troubling. The interim government needs to fulfil its responsibility of protecting all communities,” he added.
Praveen Kumar Pandey, a prominent member of the council, echoed these concerns, saying, “We have raised this issue with the Bangladesh government multiple times. It is crucial that they address the growing threats and attacks on minorities, especially Hindus. The government must act to ensure the safety and security of all its citizens.”
Varun Kumar, Founder of All India Ex-Servicemen Service Jamshedpur, also voiced his alarm over the situation, stating, “The rise in extremist rhetoric and violent incidents is a matter of great concern. These cannot simply be brushed aside. Bangladesh must take decisive action to protect its minorities from such attacks.”
The event featured a song performance by Umesh Sharma and an introduction session led by Shailendra Kumar Singh. Havaldar Manoj Kumar Singh delivered the vote of thanks, and the program concluded with patriotic slogans, “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Ex-Serviceman Service Council Zindabad.”
The meeting was attended by 53 ex-servicemen, including prominent figures like Vishwajeet, Satyaprakash, Deepak Sharma, and others.
