Jamshedpur Election officer inspects dispatch centre ahead of first phase of panchayat poll

Jamshedpur, May 12: East Singhbhum district election officer Vijaya Jadhav inspected the dispatch center set up in the Jamshedpur Cooperative College premises and took stock of the administrative preparations for the first phase of the three-tier Panchayat election and required senior officers of various cells present on the spot.

 The first phase of elections is on May 14and the counting of votes is on May 17 for four blocks of the district, Ghatshila, Musabani, Dumaria and Gudabanda. Polling parties will be dispatched from the Cooperative College campus on May 13. Block wise arrangement has been made for the seating of the polling party.

The district election officer directed senior officials of the concerned cell to take detailed information about the dispatch of the polling parties, their seating arrangement, vulnerability mapping, availability of vehicles as per the requirement and other aspects.

They were directed to ensure necessary basic minimum facilities for the polling personnel. While inspecting the maintenance of the ballot box, necessary instructions were given to the concerned officer.
