Jamshedpur, Feb 26: The search for Sulekha Kumari (23), missing since February 21 in Ulidih, Jamshedpur, continues to elude the police, leaving her family in anguish. On Monday, frustrated with the lack of progress, the distressed family members took their grievances to the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), warning of a potential strike.
Sulekha Kumari reportedly left for her office at 10 am on February 21 and has not returned home since. The family alleges that their daughter may have been a victim of rape by her employer, Trupti Ranjan Khanda, the owner of the company where she worked. This is not the first time such accusations have surfaced, as the family claims that Sulekha had previously voiced concerns against her employer. The family asserts that threats of violence were made against her, warning of dire consequences if she dared to speak out against the owner.

Expressing frustration over the police’s failure to locate Sulekha, the family contends that she may have been kidnapped, raped, and is being held against her will. They declare that if their daughter is not found promptly, the entire family is prepared to stage a protest, even going as far as to threaten suicide.
In response, Trupti Ranjan Khanda, the accused company owner, issued a statement vehemently denying the allegations. He asserted that the company was closed on February 21, with all staff members duly informed. Despite the closure, he claims to have no knowledge of Sulekha’s whereabouts.
