Jamshedpur DDC directs for clearing employment loan application

Jamshedpur, September 20: East Singhbhum deputy development commissioner Pradeep Prasad presiding over district level monitoring committee meeting on Tuesday directed lead district manager to clear the pending applications of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Project. 

During the review, four applications were found pending in Bank of Baroda, Lead District Manager was directed to get the settlement done within 15 days. 

It was informed by Bank of India that out of 87 forwarded applications, 21 applications have been approved and further action is being taken on 14. The Deputy Development Commissioner expressed displeasure over the acceptance rate of banks. He said that in the last meeting, instructions were given to generate and upload two applications from each branch, but during the review the progress was found to be very disappointing. He said that if even one application was generated and approved by each branch, the achievement of the district would have been good. He directed the Lead District Manager and all the district bank coordinators to direct all the banks from their respective level to generate two applications through correspondence. 

He directed for organising of a camp on September 27 under the supervision of Block Development Officer, Jamshedpur, member of Zilla Parishad, office bearers of District Industries Center, Block Entrepreneur Coordinator, and Bank Branch Managers, and selected eligible applications under PMEGP scheme for KVIC.
