Carmel Junior College Jamshedpur honours academic achievers

Jamshedpur, June 20: Carmel Junior College, Sonari, celebrated academic excellence by honouring its outstanding students at a grand Award Ceremony held in the school auditorium on Saturday evening. The event recognised the achievements of students of Classes IX and XI, as well as the successful ICSE and ISC 2026 board examination candidates.

The ceremony was attended by School Manager Sr. Janet Monteiro, Principal Sr. Sharel and Vice Principal Sr. Inette, who felicitated the award winners.

Among the top achievers, Harshit Singhania emerged as the ICSE school topper with an impressive aggregate of 99.2 per cent, while Snehashree Biswas secured the top position in the ISC examination with an outstanding score of 99.5 per cent.

The school toppers and ISC stream toppers were awarded trophies and cash prizes of Rs. 7,500 each in recognition of their remarkable performance. The awards were sponsored by several well-wishers and their families, adding significance to the occasion.

Students were also honoured with prestigious rolling trophies for excellence in various subjects. The Aditya Deep Memorial Trophy was awarded to the highest scorer in ISC English, while the Mother Veronica Memorial Trophy was presented to the ISC school topper. The ICSE school topper received a rolling trophy instituted in memory of Late Rajesh Sharma. The Malti Keshri Memorial Trophy was awarded to the ICSE Mathematics topper, while the Swarn Kaur Memorial Trophy was presented to the top scorers in Hindi at both ICSE and ISC levels. Subject toppers across disciplines were also recognised for their exceptional achievements.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Sr. Sharel congratulated the students and appreciated the dedication of the teachers and parents. She encouraged students to continue striving for excellence and uphold the values of hard work and perseverance.
