Jamshedpur DC’s directive leads to on-the-spot pension approvals

Jamshedpur: In a remarkable display of prompt administrative action, Deputy Commissioner  Manjunath Bhajantri initiated a pension camp in Terenga Panchayat, Musabani Block, leading to on-the-spot pension approvals for eligible beneficiaries. The event, which took place on Monday, September 4, addressed the concerns of previously overlooked individuals and streamlined the pension distribution process.

The impetus for this proactive endeavour came during a grievance redressal program, where four beneficiaries from Terenga brought their pension-related issues to the attention of Deputy Commissioner  Manjunath Bhajantri. In response, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Block Development Officer, Musabani, to take immediate action to rectify the situation.

During the pension camp, applications from the left-out beneficiaries were collected and processed on the spot, ensuring that deserving individuals received the financial support they were entitled to. Additionally, those already benefiting from the pension scheme were informed about the bank accounts to which their pension amounts were being transferred.

The beneficiaries who benefited from this initiative include: Naina Murmu, husband Prabhat Murmu: Naina Murmu’s disability pension had already been approved, and the pension amount was consistently credited to the designated bank account. Ghanshiram Bodra: Ghanshiram Bodra’s pension was also approved, and the pension amount was being deposited into the designated bank account.

Damini Rajwar, husband Haripado Rajwar: Damini Rajwar’s pension application was successfully processed and approved during the camp, ensuring that she would receive the financial support she deserved.

Budhni Munda, husband Naro Munda: Similarly, Budhni Munda’s pension application was promptly approved during the camp, resolving her long-standing grievance.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the swift resolution of their issues and praised the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner for his prompt action in addressing their concerns.

Manjunath Bhajantri emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that eligible individuals receive their entitled benefits without delay. He stated, “Our administration is dedicated to the welfare of all citizens, especially those in need. The pension camp in Terenga Panchayat is just one example of our efforts to streamline processes and deliver essential services efficiently.”

This initiative exemplifies the government’s dedication to providing timely assistance and support to its citizens, underscoring the importance of responsive and accountable governance.
