Jharkhand Assembly committee reviews international revenue collection in Jamshedpur
Jamshedpur, April 5: The Internal Resource and Central Assistance Committee of the Jharkhand Vidhansabha under the chairmanship of Jamtara MLA Irfan Ansari reviewed the departmental schemes by holding a meeting with the office bearers of the district.
In the meeting, necessary guidelines were given after reviewing the schemes run by various departments, status of revenue collection and review of development schemes and progress in centrally sponsored schemes.
Irfan Ansari said that the state government is determined to speed up the development works and ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach all the needy. In view of the summer season, he instructed to pay special attention to ensure that there is no problem of drinking water in the district.
The departmental officer told that as per the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner, a special team has been formed in the district and the work of repair of damaged tubewells and water towers is being done on a war footing. A block-wise team has been constituted, which reaches the spot as soon as the information is received and does the work of repairing the drinking water source.
The district level control room is active, while feedback is being taken from the Panchayat representatives for damaged handpumps and water towers.
Information about the pollution certificates of industries operating in the district and the quality of river water was taken from the officer of the pollution board.
Revenue received from internal resources in various departments was reviewed.
Irfan Ansari said that revenue received by the government plays a very important role in the successful implementation of development works. In such a situation, the revenue collection done by various departments in the last financial year was reviewed by the committee. Reports have been received from all the departments, after studying which important suggestions will be given by the committee so that the development work in the state can be implemented at a faster pace.
The committee stressed on timely completion of the schemes. Other schemes related to drinking water, road construction and development which were approved two years or earlier but have not been completed till now, the concerned departmental officials were asked the reason and instructions were given to complete them as soon as possible.
