Jamshedpur: 7 years RI for indecent act with kid

Jamshedpur, April 5: Mohammed Ramjani, convicted of indecent act with a six-year-old girl in Mango, has been sentenced to seven years rigorous imprisonment by the court.

Apart from this, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 5000. While hearing the case, Judge Sanjay Kumar Upadhyay of ADJ-1 and Special Court Posco heard on the point of punishment. Earlier, the court had found Ramjani guilty.

Additional Public Prosecutor Rajiv Kumar told that a total of seven people have testified in the case. On the day of the incident, the girl had gone to the adjacent Ramjani shop to bring biscuits from home. Shop owner Ramjani took the girl inside the shop on the pretext of giving her chocolates and started doing obscene acts with her. Meanwhile, the girl’s uncle reached the shop in search of the girl, where he caught the shopkeeper red-handed while doing obscene acts with the girl, then the matter reached the police station.
