Jamshedpur, Sep 19: Adityapur police arrested one Sanjay Lohar of Kadma with arms in a raid conducted near S Type Chowk in Adityapur on Sunday. They forwarded him to judicial custody after interrogation.
Sources said the accused was accused in the murder of builder material trader Sujay Nandi of Adityapur. Lohar has a criminal history and was arrested in theft and Arms Act cases earlier, said Rajan Kumar, officer in-charge of Adityapur police station.
Police arrested Lohar on the basis of a tip-off near Shaligram Sweets at S Type Chowk. Lohar was reportedly making rounds of the locality to extort someone.
