Jamshedpur : Convoy union allege irregularities in Tata Motors chassis registration

Jamshedpur, October 16.Convoy Drivers Association has written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, State Government and Central Government complaining about irregularities in the registration of chassis by Tata Motors.

In this regard, the union has demanded action against Tata Motors management.

Convoy Drivers Association leader Gyan Sagar Prasad said that as per the rules of the Road Transport Ministry, Government of India, the registration of any new vehicle should be for at least 6 months. On the other hand, the registration of the chassis is done by Tata Motors management only for one month.

The chassis insurance is also done by a third party, which is against the rules. Drivers are also not insured. Prasad said that the management is defrauding the state of crores of rupees.

The Secretary of the transport department, Government of Jharkhand along with the Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport, Government of India have been informed about this matter and a demand has been made to take action.
