Jamshedpur: Central Ram Navami Akhara Committee formed, Arun Singh elected President, Abhay Singh named Chief Patron

Jamshedpur, Mar 18: In preparation for the upcoming Ram Navami festival, all Akhara Committees in Jamshedpur convened a significant meeting at the Kashidih Durga Temple under the chairmanship of Abhay Singh. Addressing the issues encountered annually during the festival, licensees and presidents from urban and rural areas of East Singhbhum district participated in the discussions.

During the meeting, Suman Aggarwal, Founder President of Bal Mandir Akhara Committee Sakchi, proposed the formation of a new committee, the Jamshedpur Central Ram Navami Akhara Committee, which garnered unanimous agreement. Arun Singh was then unanimously elected as the central president, with Abhay Singh appointed as the chief patron.

The committee further appointed several key members, including Suman Aggarwal, Panna Singh Janghel, Dr. Santosh, Umesh Kumar Singh, Chandragupta Singh, Baba Ravi Giri Maharaj, Budha Mandal, Ashok Gaur, and others as patrons. Shambhu Trivedi was appointed as the executive president, with Vijay Tiwari as Vice President, and Praveen Sethi as General Secretary, among others.

In his address, Chief Patron Abhay Singh emphasized the importance of celebrating Ram Navami peacefully, learning from past incidents. He highlighted the committee’s objective to address the issues faced by all Akhara Committees in the region and expressed the expectation for cooperation with the administration.

President Arun Singh pledged that the Jamshedpur Central Ram Navami Akhara Committee would serve as a liaison between the district administration and all Akhara committees. The committee aims to address various challenges, including those related to electricity, roads, river ghats, and cleanliness, through dialogue with the administration.

With participation from licensees of 90 Akharas, the formation of the new committee marks a significant step towards ensuring a successful and harmonious celebration of Ram Navami in Jamshedpur.
