Jamshedpur, August 28: A special Raksha Bandhan programme was organized at the Rapid Action Force (RAF) 106 Battalion camp in Sundarnagar on Monday, August 28 in which the Didis of Brahma Kumaris organization and students of the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Awasia Vidyalaya tied the sacred Rakhis on the wrists of officers and Jawans of the Force.
The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shailendra Kumar jointly with Second-in-Command of the RAF 106 Battalion, Sachidanand Mishra. Sisters from Kasturba Balika Awasia Vidyalaya narrated stirring stories of dedicated soldiers serving the nation. A Rajasthani folk dance was presented on the occasion to add a touch of colour to the programme. All sisters tied Rakhi to the wrists of their brave soldier brothers while expressing their hopes for their long and healthy life and their dedication to duty with courage. A sister recited, “On this day of Rakhi, brother, don’t forget, you are dedicated to the nation’s service, fulfil your duty.”
Second-in-Command Officer of RAF, Sachidanand Mishra, along with other officers and soldiers, participated in the program.
