Jamshedpur, Aug 28: Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma campus turned colourful and vibrant as Onam celebrations was conducted with pomp and gaiety on Monday, August 28.
Onam is one of the grand festivals of Kerala, celebrated with ardent fervor by Malayalis all over the world every year.
The celebrations started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration (pookalam) in the Assembly Ground.
The Program commenced with the lighting of the auspicious lamp followed by prayer to invoke the almighty.
The program was graced by Director Kerala Public Schools Sharat Chandran, Academic Director Kerala Public Schools Lakshmi R, Principal Sharmila Mukherjee, Headmistress Alamelu Ravishankar and Coordinators.
The main attractions of the programme were skit presentation speech, group songs, and group song by the teachers of the school. The arrival of Mahabali was well-received by the audience.
Lakshmi R wished a prosperous Onam to the faculty and students. She briefed them about King Mahabali and emphasised on the grand celebration of the festival in Kerala.
