Jamshedpur, June 14: The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the NEET UG 2025 results on Saturday, with Jharkhand students delivering an impressive performance. Among them, Himanshu Kumar from Giridih emerged as the state topper, securing an All India Rank (AIR) of 134 with a remarkable 99.993 percentile.

Himanshu’s achievement is not just academic but deeply personal. Coming from a humble background, his father runs a small mobile and TV repair shop, while his mother is a homemaker. Reflecting on his journey, Himanshu said, “I gave this exam not just for myself but to change the condition of my family. This rank is a recognition of my struggle and the sacrifices of my parents.”

Driven by the hardships he witnessed at home, Himanshu remained focused on his goal for the past two years, studying for 10 to 11 hours daily. He followed a strict routine, waking up at 7 a.m. and studying until midnight. He stayed away from social media and used his phone only to access study materials shared by his coaching center in Ranchi via WhatsApp.

“The faculty at my coaching institute in Ranchi were very supportive. They provided excellent notes in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. I revised those notes repeatedly,” he said.
