Jamshedpur block office gets five CCTV cameras

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur has become the first block in East Singhbhum to have an office fully equipped with CCTV cameras. Five CCTV cameras were installed at the Jamshedpur block office at Karandih on Sunday. The work of installation got completed in two days.

The demand for installing CCTV cameras at the block office was first raised by the deputy Pramukh of Potka block Afzal Akhtar on 17th July last. Akhtar had met the deputy commissioner (DC) and the SDO in this connection.

Akhtar, in a press release issued here today, said the CCTV camera installation had caused a stir in the government office. He said the close vigil at the government office would deal a severe blow to middlemen active at the block office. He thanked the district administration for installing the cameras.
