Jamshedpur bank employee commits suicide after watching IPL match

Jamshedpur, June 4: A 33-year-old private bank employee, Abhishek Kumar Sinha, ended his life by committing suicide after watching IPL match late on Tuesday night at his residence in Anand Vihar Duplex, Gaur Basti, under Mango police station area. The incident has shocked the local community.

According to sources, Abhishek, who had been married six months ago, reportedly had a heated argument with his wife late Tuesday night. In the early hours of Wednesday, family members discovered him hanging in his room. He was rushed to MGM Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Abhishek was the elder of two brothers. His sudden death has left his family devastated. Neighbors described him as sociable and friendly, saying they never witnessed any signs of distress.

The police, led by Mango police station in-charge, have begun an investigation and confirmed the presence of a domestic dispute in the preliminary findings. No suicide note was recovered. The deceased’s mobile phone and personal documents were also being examined for clues.

Abhishek’s last rites are expected to be performed on Thursday at Swarnarekha Ghat in Sakchi.
