Jamshedpur, Sept 10: A new twist appeared to the shooting incident near the Railway Running Room in Bagbera where Bablu Singh was shot when Leda, a suspect in the incident stated that Bablu Singh had fired at him first and his companions retaliated after which they escaped. Leda who had received gunshot wounds on his right hand and leg had been brought to the MGM Hospital by his mother for treatment.
Leda was found in an injured condition near the water tank. His mother took him to the hospital. However, the police believed that Leda had fired on himself to escape being accused of firing at Bablu Singh. At present the police are investigating the incident.
It may be stated that Leda was jailed for firing on and killing Manna Mahto in Kitadih. He had come out of jail on bail recently. There was a dispute between Sanjit and Bablu on an old issue in sequence to which Sanjit along with his companions opened fire on Bablu. Meanwhile, the condition of Bablu remains critical.
