Jamshedpur, Feb 16: As per instructions of the Jharkhand Chief Secretary to initiate public awareness of Chief Minister Old Age Pension scheme, with the eligibility age lowered from 60 years to 50 years, campaigns have been launched across the state. An awareness chariot was flagged off from the East Singhbhum district headquarters on Friday, with Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal flagging off the event. The Rath (chariot) is scheduled to visit all blocks and panchayats of the district from 20th to 22nd February to educate potential beneficiaries about the scheme.
The online application process will commence from February 26. JSLPS, ration dealers, and Panchayat Sevaks, among others have been tasked with facilitating the application process.
DC Ananya Mittal stressed the importance of ensuring every eligible beneficiary being made aware of this government welfare scheme. He directed that the campaign must be executed diligently to prevent any eligible individuals from being deprived of the schematic benefits.
