Jamshedpur: The All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council, Jamshedpur, reaffirmed its commitment to promoting patriotism, respect, and employment for ex-servicemen during a military conference held at Agrico today. The event, which witnessed the participation of 85 ex-servicemen, highlighted the council’s ongoing efforts to integrate veterans into society by addressing their employment needs and advocating for their rights.
The conference began with a solemn remembrance of Bharat Mata and tributes to martyrs and their families. The session was inaugurated with an organization song presented by Satya Prakash, followed by an introductory address led by Manoj Kumar Singh.

In his address, Council President Vinay Kumar Yadav emphasized the importance of unity in building a strong military organization capable of securing quality employment for ex-servicemen. “Our priority is to ensure that the lifestyle of ex-servicemen aligns with societal norms while preserving their dignity and contributions,” he said.
General Secretary Jitendra Kumar Singh highlighted the council’s longstanding presence since 2008 as the largest ex-servicemen organization in Jharkhand. However, he lamented the lack of recognition from the state government and armed forces. “This lack of acknowledgment hinders our ability to address community concerns effectively and advocate for their rightful entitlements,” he stated.
Senior Vice President Awadhesh Kumar underscored the need for demonstrating collective strength. “If the government and society recognize the potential and reliability of ex-servicemen in disaster management and other critical scenarios, it will lead to a positive shift in their perception and policies towards us,” he remarked.
Founder Rajkum Sharma announced the council’s plans to organize a “Military Mahasammelan” in Ranchi on January 11-12, 2025. The event aims to amplify the voices of ex-servicemen and present a memorandum of demands to the state government, urging their inclusion in decision-making processes concerning veteran affairs.
The conference featured a review of the council’s activities over the past month, presented by Sukhwinder Singh, who also shared a detailed account of income and expenditure. The event concluded with the resounding slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Ex-Servicemen Service Council Zindabad,” reflecting the patriotic fervor of the attendees.
Prominent ex-servicemen in attendance included Subedar SS Road, Havaldar Awadhesh Kumar Rai, Sergeant Sameer Dutta, Satyendra Singh, Vishwajeet, Pawan Kumar, and Deepak Sharma, among others.
