Jamshedpur: Akhilesh Singh acquitted in firing case

Jamshedpur, Feb 3: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Prabhakar Kumar acquitted Akhilesh Singh and Harish Singh in the case of firing on Sonari resident Amit Rai here on Monday.

The case dates back to 23rd September 2016 when assailants had opened fire on Amit Rai under Sakchi police station area. An FIR was lodged against Akhilesh Singh, Hari Singh and others at Sakchi PS.

In this case, Kanhaiya Singh and Sudhir Dubey have been acquitted earlier by the court.

Amit Rai was later shot dead on 6th December 2016 in front of Shiv Ganga Apartment.
