Jamshedpur advocates pay tribute to Dishom Guru and Ramdas Soren

Jamshedpur: A tribute meeting was organized by Guruji Vichar Manch at Michael John Auditorium, Bistupur, where city advocates gathered to pay homage to Dishom Guru Shibu Soren and late leader Ramdas Soren. Floral tributes were offered as a mark of respect to their contribution and legacy.

Speaking on the occasion, socialist thinker advocate Sudhir Kumar Pappu described Shibu Soren, founder of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and pioneer of the separate Jharkhand state movement, as a leader of extraordinary vision and sacrifice. He emphasized that the Government of India should honor him with the country’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna. He further suggested that Shibu Soren’s biography be included in school and college curriculums and that a dedicated research institute be established in his name in Jharkhand.

Remembering Ramdas Soren, Pappu said he epitomized the spirit of a true son of the soil. Even after holding ministerial responsibilities, he continued to live a life of simplicity and honesty, inspiring people through his humility and dedication.

The program also witnessed the presence of advocates Kulwinder Singh, Dhanraj Hembram, Mohd. Zahid, Rahul Kumar, and Babu Nandi, who collectively paid homage. On the sidelines, advocates and participants also extended condolences to former Health Minister Dr. Dinesh Sarangi, former MLA and convener of Vichar Manch Kunal Sarangi, and Pawan Kumar, who were present during the event.

The gathering turned into a moment of reflection on the lives and struggles of the two leaders, highlighting their immense contributions to Jharkhand’s identity, politics, and society.
