Jamshedpur: A team of anti-corruption bureau (ACB) arrested the assistant commissioner of Income Tax for Jamshedpur Circle Kamlesh Choudhary for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 in his office on Friday. Choudhary was nabbed red-handed by the ACB team which confiscated the cash on a tip-off.
The ACB team also visited Choudhary�s residence at flat number 102 in Vatika Green City at Mango. One Deepak Sharda, proprietor of a stationery firm Sunshine and resident of Keertan Vihar, had lodged a complaint against Choudhary on 2nd November last. He had alleged that Choudhary had sought a bribe of Rs 15,000 from him to get his tax assessment done.
Choudhary, meanwhile, said he had not taken any bribe. He said his son is suffering from cancer and is in a critical condition.
