Jamshedpur: 3 new physiotherapists at MGM and Sadar hospitals

Jamshedpur, October 31: With the formation of Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist cadre in the state and preparation of rules, the way has been cleared for the appointment of permanent physiotherapists in MGM and Jamshedpur Sadar Hospital.

Currently there are two physiotherapists on outsourced basis in MGM. At the same time, there is not a single physiotherapist in Sadar Hospital.

Soon after the preparation of the rules, three physiotherapists will be appointed in both the hospitals.

These include the posts of physiotherapist, occupational therapist, senior physiotherapist, senior occupational therapist and superintending physiotherapist.

Three permanent physiotherapists can be reinstated in MGM and Sadar Hospital. Candidates who are registered with Jharkhand State Physiotherapy Council will be able to apply.

750 patients are treated every month in MGM.

In all 700 to 750 patients are treated every month in the physiotherapy department of MGM Hospital.

Physiotherapy center works under the Ortho department. People suffering from diabetes suffer from frozen shoulder. Apart from this, people also need physiotherapy after surgery.

Due to changing lifestyle, people are facing many types of problems. Due to working for a long time on computer, sitting in wrong way, sedentary life, habit of not exercising, using mobile for a long time with head bowed and mental stress, people suffer from problems like cervical spondylitis, frozen shoulder and lower back pain.
