Jamshedpur: 2 years sentence for cheating woman 

Jamshedpur, June 1: Chunchun Menon, convicted of duping a Govindpur girl of money on the pretext of marriage, has been found guilty by the court and sentenced to two years imprisonment.

While hearing the case, the court of ACJM Chandrabhanu Kumar found Chunchun guilty under section 420 of the IPC, after which he was sentenced. Apart from two years in jail, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000. There was testimony of the victim and her mother in the case. Advocate Balai Panda argued on behalf of the victim.

Advocate Balai Panda told that the victim used to work in Tata Motors. She came in contact with Chunchun between 2014-16, Chunchun sexually assaulted the victim on the pretext of marriage and in the meantime took money several times. The victim gave him money thinking that he would marry her, but he later refused to marry her.

In this regard, the victim had filed a court complaint in the year 2016. The court found Chunchun guilty under section 420 of the IPC and sentenced him.
