Two Arrested in Jugsalai Cloth Store Firing Case

Jamshedpur: Two suspects have been arrested by Jugsalai police in the sensational extortion-firing incident at the ‘Unique Collection’ store in the Jugsalai Municipal Complex. Investigators also recovered the getaway vehicle.

The arrested suspects include Rahul Singh (alias Antim Pai) and Namta, the registered owner of the car used during the crime. However, the prime shooter, Sunny Sardar, and another accomplice managed to evade capture.

Police investigations reveal that the absconding shooter, Sunny Sardar, is a hitman associated with the notorious Manish Singh gang. Manish Singh is currently lodged in the Ghaghidih Central Jail.

According to police sources, the gang has been systematically orchestrating violent attacks to extort protection money from local traders in Jugsalai and surrounding commercial hubs. Sunny Sardar carries a heavy criminal record, with prior charges including:

• The high-profile Tinku Sao murder case in Sonari.
• A previous daylight firing incident targeting a youth named Deepak in Jugsalai.

Inter-State Manhunt Launched for Prime Accused

Following confessions from the arrested duo, a special police task force conducted coordinated raids across Jamshedpur on Sunday.

Technical surveillance indicators suggest that Sunny Sardar crossed state lines into West Bengal shortly after the shooting to evade local authorities. A dedicated tracking team from the Jamshedpur Police has already left for West Bengal to hunt him down.

Vinesh Beria (alias Chiku), the proprietor of Unique Collection, lodged a formal FIR at the Jugsalai police station. The extortion demands and the subsequent life-threatening attack have left the businessman and his family under severe distress. Top police officials assured local traders that they will dismantle the entire jail-linked extortion network and arrest the remaining fugitives shortly.
