Ghatshila, Sept 6: Investiture Ceremony was organized at Sant Nandlal Smriti Vidya Mandir (SNSVM) on Tuesday. The Investiture Ceremony had to be kept in abeyance for the past two years due to the prevalence of COVID-19 but this year, the spirit of the occasion was back in the school environs. The Investiture Ceremony is organized in order to inculcate in the students their duties and responsibilities towards the school.
Ghatshila DSP Kuldip Toppo and police station in-charge Shambhu Prasad Gupta were the chief and special guests respectively at the Investiture Ceremony. Chief Guest, DSP Kuldip Toppo honoured the children with medals and wished them a bright future. A total of 86 primary and secondary school children were selected for the Investiture Ceremony. They were selected on the basis of their performance in studies, trheir sense of responsibility in discharging duties and responsibilities towards their institution and their participation in co-curricular activities. Among the awardees were students who participated in ‘Mock Parliament’ and performed brilliantly their roles of parliamentarians.
School Managing Committee member RG Chothmal, School Manager Dr Prasenjit Karmakar, Principal Nilkamal Sinha, Teacher In-charge Anup Kumar Pattanaik and Primary Wing In-charge Sujata Verma were present at the Investiture Ceremony.
Class XII student Nida Parveen anchored the programme. The technical support was provided by Somnath Dey and Bidyut Chandra while Neha Mazumdar and Sayoni Das helped in organizing the event.
