Jamshedpur, July 12: On the occasion of World Paper Bag Day, Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur West distributed paper bags among vendors in the city and also raised awareness on the importance of using paper bags instead of plastic bags.
Club President Ananna Dutta said, “The usage of plastic bags is a global concern that not only harms the environment but also is a threat to human health. Therefore, on this day, people need to be informed and educated regarding the dangerous side effects of plastic bags.”
She informed that these paper bags have been purchased from women-folk in Potka Village.
Also present were Club Secretary Anantida Bera, Kathakali Gosh and others.
