CAIT General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal appointed member in Board of Trade

Jamshedpur, July 12: The Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, has constituted the Board of Trade by merging Council for Trade Development and Promotion and has nominated Praveen Khandelwal, Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) beside 28 other eminent persons from Trade & Industry.  The Ministry has issued a notification for the nomination of the members of the Board.

Suresh Sonthalia National Secretary of CAIT while expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, has said that the constitution of the Board of Trade is an important step in exploration of better growth in domestic and global trade. It will act as a catalyst to bring congenial atmosphere for trade in the Country.

The Board will provide a platform for State Governments in articulating State oriented perspectives in trade policy. BOT will act as a facilitator for District Exports Hub events beside other functions. The Board will also assist in developing trade infrastructure, to review export performance of different sectors, to examine existing institutional frameworks for imports and exports beside several other core issues.
