Inner Wheel Club to build 1500 toilets in next year

Jamshedpur, Dec. 14: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur, one of the leading philanthropic organizations of steel city working to serve the society at all levels, successfully hosted a two-day district conference titled ‘Ananda-The Bliss’ under the leadership of district chairman Aruna Taneja. The meet concluded on Sunday at Super Centre, Sakchi.

The second day of the meeting was headed by conference chairman Anita Rai where district chairman Aruna Taneja and the chief guest association president Mamta Agarwal from Kolkata was also present.

At the event, Mamta Agarwal said the club has taken up the initiative of building 1500 toilets in the next one year. The toilets will be constructed in villages and national highways during 2015-2016.

District 325 comprises of 36 clubs and 20 clubs participated in the program. During the conference, Taneja appreciated the efforts made by district executive members including district secretary Shweta Sinha, district treasurer Gayatri Aryani, ISO Santa Prasad and district editor Sheela Ranjan.

This was followed by a business session of Inner Wheel District 325 where all the executive members and district club presidents presented their reports.

All the projects were appreciated by the district chairman and association president. Later, matters related to the betterment for the district was discussed where dignitaries from the Inner Wheel fraternity were honored with bouquets and gifts.

Elections for 2016-2017 were held and Dr. Dipti Sahay from Patna was elected as the district chairman for the coming year.
